Wolof Language
Wolof is an Atlantic language of the Niger-Congo family. It is closely related to Fula and Serer. While Wolof is the national language of Senegal, speakers are also found in France, Mauritania, and Mali. Approximately 3.6 million people worldwide speak Wolof.
There are two primary dialects of Wolof: Senegal Wolof, which is the standardized form of Wolof, and Gambian Wolof, which is spoken in the Republic of the Gambia.
