Azerbaijani Language

Azerbaijani is the official language of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as certain parts of Iraq.  It is also known as Azari, Azerbaijani Turkish, Azeri, or Azeri Turkish.  While there are a large number of Azerbaijani dialects, the differences between each are minimal.

Roughly 23 to 30 million native Azerbaijani speakers reside in countries including Armenia, Estonia, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
