Oromo Language
Oromo (also called Galla) is an Eastern Cushitic language, belonging to the Afro-Asiatic language family. It is spoken in Ethiopia and surrounding areas.
Dialects of Oromo include Western Oromo and Central Oromo, which are spoken in western and central parts of Ethiopia respectively. Subdialects include Mecha, Raya, Tulema, and Wello. Not all Oromo dialects are mutually intelligible.
Oromo is one of the most widely spoken Cushitic languages. There are 30 million people in the Oromo ethnolinguistic group.
