Marshallese

Our professional linguists include native Marshallese speakers who are experienced in the nuances of the language and the requirements of effective translation and interpreting.

Marshallese Language

Marshallese belongs to the Micronesian group of the Eastern, or Oceanic, branch of the Austronesian (Malayo-Polynesian) language family. It is spoken in the Republic of Marshall, an island nation in the central Pacific Ocean.

While both Marshallese and English are spoken in the Marshall Islands, only a fraction of the population speaks English.

Other Micronesian languages which Marshallese is closely related to, include Carolinean, Chuukese, Gilbertese, Kosraean, Pohnpeian, and Ulithian.
