English Language

English is a West Germanic language of the Indo-European language family.  English originated in the nation of England.  Today, it is widely spoken in six continents.

English is the primary language spoken in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and several small island nations in the Carribean Sea and Pacific Ocean.  Additionally, it is an official language of India, the Philippines, and numerous sub-Saharan countries in Africa.
