Chichewa Language
Chichewa (also called Chewa, Nyanja, or Chinyanja) is the national language of the country of Malawi. It is spoken by more than two-thirds of Malawi’s population.
While Chichewa is Malawi’s national language, English is the country’s official language. However, English is spoken by less than one fifth of the country’s inhabitants.
