Bemba Language
Bemba (also called Babemba or Awemba) is a Bantu language. It is spoken by the Bemba people, who reside on the northeastern plateau of Zambia, as well as the neighboring regions of Congo (Kinshasa) and Zimbabwe.
Bemba is the most widely spoken language in Zambia. It is also the lingua franca of Zambia.
Furthermore, Bemba is one of the seven official vernacular languages of Zambia. (The other six are Kaonde, Lozi, Lunda, Luvale, Nyanja, and Tonga.)
